History Created in 1961 in response to the call of Pope John XXIII (1881-1963) for the fight against famine, the movements of the Catholic Church created the RTC (Catholic Committee against Hunger), which will quickly become CCFD, because the idea is rapidly emerging as the development dimension is essential to properly fight against hunger.
